Many enjoy the fresh cut holiday tree, wreaths and garland for decorating during the holidays. It is as real as you can get but real greenery may bring in real pest.  Make sure to shake your any greenery purchased for the holiday before bringing it into your home.  In most cases, vendors offer the option to shake it for you but if not, try your best to do it yourself. .

Hide, Seal or Cover your Holiday Goodies….
Another great holiday tradition for many is the delicious holiday baking and cooking.  Many of us bake our Christmas cookies, our holiday pies and sweet deserts.  To avoid attracting unwanted ants, roaches and other household invaders, put your food and sweets away overnight.   Never leave open containers of cookies, cakes or any other type of food out overnight. Wipe down the counters, sinks and the stoves.  Clean any spills and vacuum often to help keep the pest away.  Following these instructions is a vital step in pest prevention.  Contact McDonald Pest control for even more pest preventative services available.
